A Tale of Earth's Aqua

Water is life, don't waste it. |
Of the eight planets in our
solar system only the Earth has all the necessary components for human life,
which is why life exists here. In the battle of acquiring power, man transversed the
barriers and went beyond the limit to achieve the world—actually, the
whole cosmos. Nowadays, we have discovered thousands of galaxies, and named
thousands of stars and planets, but why is life only simpatico on Earth and not
on any other planet? Answers can vary from the person’s phenomenology; one can
reply that it has all the necessary conditions for life and, other can have a
dissenting scientific opinion. But Why only Earth, not any other planet? Was it
air, was it land, or what was the driving force which made it host to life? In
my opinion, most of the earthly living predominantly originated from water and
only our earth has most of it.
Our earth has 71-75 percent water abundance; of that, 97 percent exists in the ocean as salted water, and two percent of the earth’s water is stored as fresh water in glaciers, ice caps, and snowy mountains. That leaves only one percent of the earth’s water available for our daily use. What do you think? Is it too much to waste? Of course, not at all, so why do we waste water? One turns on the tap while brushing his teeth, one wastes the normal water to drink the cold water, some fill the full glass with water to drink the upper half and waste the remaining half, and some forget to turn off the tap after washing hands, some see the water being wasted and still turn a blind eye. Candidly speaking, it’s the oppression being done on the destitute person who is unable to get the spick-and-span water, and you are snatching the opportunity of that person to quench his thirst.

Water scarcity in India. |
Not only do we have the right to nature, it’s the 21st century and we believe in egalitarianism, so why this injustice to the deprived one? As said by Martin Luther King Jr., “𝐈𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. “Also, an explanation of a Holy Verse of the Quran, 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. And we are witnessing this on our planet; we are facing the scarcity of drinkable water. Of the 7.7 billion total population, roughly 1 billion don’t have access to water. In Africa, rural women travel 6 km daily to haul 20 Kg of water. You can survive without food but can’t without water. The general consensus says that a normal man can survive 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, and 3 min without oxygen.

Save water, Save the world. |
Now you are well aware of the fact that water is essential for living beings on Earth. It is the driving force of all nature. As said by H. Auden, “𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫”. In culminating point I would like to say, that man is responsible for everything he does on earth. Turning a blind eye to anything is not in the doctrine of Islam. Islam always teaches us the way of right and restrains us from wicked deeds. I am emphasizing over you because Pakistan is also included in water-stressed countries, and a small endeavour can give the divested one access to water.
